Over the past few weeks, Trend Spike has experienced rapid growth, and received a ton of support. My plan is to increase my exposure over the next few weeks and months, not only in my niche, but also in the blogosphere itself. You can check out two reviews of Trend Spike here:

I’ve been listening to feedback very carefully, and trust me, the site is hardly completed. I have many ideas that I’d like to make happen in the future. Think of Trend Spike as not only a blog, but an online magazine. With that said, what would you, the readers like to see added to the site? Throw some ideas at me, and while you’re at it, let me know what you think about these features that I plan to add in the coming weeks:
Trend Spike Models - Women send in bikini pictures of themselves, and I’ll choose one to become the “Trend Spike Goddess” of the month. They will receive a free Trend Spike t-shirt and $50 cash. Their photos will then be posted on the blog, with one picture of them in their new t-shirt.
Advice - Readers send in their questions, and I’ll post them once a month on the blog, giving my opinions/answers. Questions can range from what to do in relationships, which exercises to do, which cell phone to buy, or just general questions about this web site. Of course, readers can choose to remain anonymous.
Regular readings - A blog post once every other week on a certain day. For example, “Tuesday Tavern” where I’ll post a mixed drink, how it’s made, and any history behind it that I can dig up. “Friday Food Fight” where I’ll post a healthy, but delicious recipe.
Tell me what you think. Love it? Hate it? Want to add to it? You’re the reader. You decide.

I’ve got to say that I’m not a fan of the bikini girls, but I can see how it could definintely increase your rating. If nothing else google image searches should go through the roof. LOL
How about a weekly recommendations post? Maybe every Friday post a few things that you’ve found and highly recommend. You could change it up slightly every week: recommended drinks, recommended websites, etc…

I have to agree with SD’s sentiment on the bikini girls, but if thats your thing - do what you gotta.
Have you considered turning off no-follow? That incentive alone is enough for many bloggers to comment.

I like all three of your recommendations Jason, especially “Trend Spike Goddess.” You guys are very visual and I have long excepted that. So that’ll work here.
Something that you might want to give some thought to is doing some kind of dual post in your sex and relationships category. Men and women’s sites, magazines, make the big mistake of coming at sex from one perspective. If you’re having sex alone that’s fine. Otherwise, since it’s generally two, try something different with two perspectives on each topic.

Well, I have to tell you right up front that using photos of bikini clad women is going to turn away half your audience.
Some kind of site recommendation for blogs or websites or just single articles you come across would be interesting and helpful to those of us who don’t have the time to do a lot of general surfing.
Mature minds will relate better to the intellectual stimulus of relevant content where sleazy photos will only get you the keyboard drooling losers.

Ok… it’s about the Bikini gals again. I thought that it’ll be up for abuse. I was wondering how you’re going to verify that the picture is not downloaded from internet… hmm…
How about ‘car of the week’? Or even ‘gadget of the week’?

Jason reply on February 19, 2008:
Well, they wouldn’t get paid until they sent in the picture with the Trend Spike t-shirt on, which would verify that they are indeed real. Those are also some good ideas, thanks!
Trend Spike Models … new t-shirt.
I am a perv so I very much like this idea.
Advice … anonymous.
Good idea.
Regular readings … delicious recipe.
Gonna teach us how to make drinks eh? Not bad! I wanna learn how to make cocktails!

Interesting how a lot of people disagree on the bikini women. I’ll have to think about that one.
@Deimos - Ya, I’ve also been thinking about ways that I can add video games to the site.
@SD (#1?) - Nice to see you back online. I’m going to go check out your site now.
@Judi - Thanks! Ya, I think I found that review after I posted this article. Eventually, I’m going to dedicate a page to Trend Spike reviews. Not only will it be a good reference for people who are interested, but it will also make it a lot easier for me to go back and read suggestions/feedback.
@Everyone - Thanks for the feedback. I read everything that anyone has to say about Trend Spike, so keep it coming. Good or bad…..doesn’t matter. I’m always looking to improve.
