Ok guys, you have less then two weeks before the big day.  What day?  How about Valentines Day, February 14th, the day you celebrate your love for each other.  Fake holiday or not, women consider it to be a very big deal which means that there is mounting pressure on you to make the day absolutely perfect.  We have compiled a list ways to help you impress your loved one on Valentines Day.

Mark your calendar.  I know it sounds simple, but forgetting the day can and does happen.  You get caught up with the hustle and bustle of everyday life and next thing you know its February 14th and you are totally unprepared.  In case you don’t know it already, forgetting Valentines day is absolutely unacceptable!

Make a plan.  Start planning out the day or night long before the big day.  Restaurants and hotels are booked for Valentines Day sometimes months or even years in advance, so don’t wait until the last minute.  Never expect to get into a restaurant on Valentines Day without a reservation.

Buy something special.  Stay away from generic gifts that are totally meaningless.  While it doesn’t have to be expensive, this is not a day to be cheap.  Here is where you need to really sit down and think about her.  Has she hinted about something she wants?  Does she collect anything?  The gift you give her will show how well you know her and quite possible how much you care about her, so be sure to really think this one out. 

Head on out.  Avoid going out to the same boring places as usual.  It’s time to be adventurous.  Go online and look up a nice restaurant that the two of you have never tried, even if it requires a little bit of a drive to get there.  Check out the menu to make sure that they serve food that your significant other enjoys.  Surprise her!  Don’t tell her where you are going.  All she really needs to know is what time to be ready and how she should dress.  A little mystery little spice up the night.

Power down.  This is her night, so its no time to be taking business or personal phone calls.  At the very least, put your phone or pda on silent and check it once or twice while in the bathroom. 

After party.  So the night has gone well and the two of you are set for a little alone time. Its especially important to remember that its still her day.  Even in bed you should cater to her wants and desires.
