Insuring she is nothing short of perfection for her time on stage, Adriana stuck to a liquid-only diet for nine days prior to the big event (she stopped her liquid intake 12 hours before the show).  Getting a lot of pre-show grief after revealing her strict diet and workout routine, Adriana defended her regimen, telling E!, “I know it’s very intense but…I just have an athlete’s mind and I appreciate doing this thing. It’s not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. A new girl rises above the sea of blondes and blue eyes and she’s the girl who won it from everyone for placing first in the End of Summer Swimsuit Shoot Off 2011!  This was Leonie Damberg’s first major modeling competition we will give her credit for that. Those long silky legs sure went a long way for her and it was definitely worth it.

“Confidence and you need to be able to trust yourself”, was the answer Damberg gave when asked as to how she thought she won. Definitely her advice paid off as she came out from the wilderness, conquered the competition in perfect hair, great physique and an overwhelming good personality – all that without even batting a lash.

Damberg loves to laugh and they say that laughter is the best kind of medicine. No wonder her friends adore her since she gives off this warm, sunny and vivacious personality – and that’s something you rarely find genuinely in the modeling world.

We here at Trend Spike are definitely proud to see her on the cover of Venus Says magazine! Keep on going to the “top” Leonie, that’s the only direction everyone should be heading to.

Everyone were very excited about the ESSSO, as this event was the first of its kind in Vernon B.C., Canada.The photo shoot took place at the Banner Recreational Products shop, the event’s host.There, you can see lights and backdrops installed.And to elevate the excitement even higher, hot bikes were positioned on the set, while music was played to keep the models (and the staffs) all pumped up.

“Greg Cleaver and I prepared our sets while our Make up artist Bri Stein set up her make up room.It was so much fun to see everyone working so hard to make this the best possible event,” said Rick Tolhurst, Venus Says magazine’s official photographer.

As the models stepped in, the staffs made sure that the contestants would feel comfortable prior to the photo shoot session. Models were glammed up by Bri Stein Artistry, while “snacks like chopped veggies, grapes, and fruits were made available to them in case they had a bit of the pre-shoot jitters,” Tolhurst said.

The contestants wore bikinis of their choice.  You can truly appreciate their toned bodies. When the shoot started, the models’ enthusiasm and confidence showed in every frame and the event photographers (Tolhurst and Cleaver) were very pleased with the result.“I have got to tell you, these girls [models] rocked it like they’ve already done this before…we made some fantastic shots!” Tolhurst said. Cleaver on the other hand expressed the same level of excitement on his Facebook page and said he “can’t wait to post [the photos online]!”

There’s just something quite inter­esting in meeting and seeing some­thing exotic, especially if it’s of the Macedonian kind, and we don’t mean the Greek kind. So good news ladies, Dimitar is in the market! Language barriers are definitely not of concern with Dimitar despite being 100% of Macedonian origin. Residing in Ohio now, Dimitar has learned the ways of the grounds he has set himself upon in conjunction with his work as a com­mercial model. Let’s just say he now has a more worldly view of things.

He describes himself as a laid back kind of person so we’d like to think he loves to cuddle since most of the exciting stuff is likely to happen at a very intimate level. You might have your fair share of doubts on the relaxed bit considering that he Tweeted: “Firing up the grill … Where’s my Dora the Explorer apron?” looks like there’s a different side to him af­ter all! Dimitar values humility the most so best reserve whatever naughty thoughts you have for the next if you plan on meeting this gorgeous piece of hunk because arrogance definitely makes him brush you away.

He does dream of going back to Macedonia. Maybe perhaps, with a little effort and flick of the hair, cou­pled with a charming personality that goes a long way, you might end up liv­ing that dream with him.

VS: How does it feel to become part of the End of Summer Swimsuit Shoot Off?

Dimi: It’s definitely an honor to be able to judge this great event.  I can’t wait!

VS: What can you say about Canadian models?

Dimi: Canadian models have more of an international flavor to them, due to the European influence that is still around –a huge advantage in the modeling industry.

VS: What advice can you give to the contestants?

Dimi: The best advice in the modeling industry is to RELAX.  Thinking too much and having a cloudy mind can be the difference between a fantastic shot and an average shot.

VS: Current relationship status?

It’s modelling 101 for any model that to be on a cover of a magazine is a big step in launching and boosting their careers in the industry. Getting more exposure means getting a model’s blip in the sonar and be seen more often. More projects booked and more opportunities to embrace in the billion dollar industry. That’s exactly what Venus Says aims to do with the female models who will participate in the End of Summer Swimsuit Shoot where the winner of the competition will receive a special gift item from Trend Spike, a five-page spread in Venus Says magazine as well as the opportunity to become the magazine’s next cover girl.

Prizes for the runner-ups are as follows: a three-page feature spread for second place, a two-page feature spread for third place, a 1-page feature spread for fourth place, and a half-page feature spread for fifth to tenth place. Additionally, a People’s Choice Award will be done through an online poll hosted by trendspike.com where the winner of the People’s Choice will join the top four finalists and vie on becoming the next cover girl of Venus Says through one last online poll during October.

The shoot will be on August 31, 2011 in Vernon, British Columbia shot by photographers Rick Tolhurst, Greg Cleaver and Matt Semograd (assistant photographer). Registration fee is $40.00 for a half an hour shoot session and $80.00 for one hour. (Please view registration and payment details here).

Models will get to wear the swimsuit of their choice, while the make up will be done by Bri Stein Artistry (www.facebook.com/BriSteinMakeupArtist). The photo shoot will take place at the Banner Recreational Products shop (http://www.bannerrec.com/) in Vernon and models are set to pose either with bikes, see-doos, ski-doos or watercrafts. “It was really cool that Banner Recreational Products agreed to let us use their store for this event.  What could be more fitting for a swimsuit shoot off than a store that sells beach equipments?“ Venus Says official photographer, Rick Tolhurst, said. Models are given ten ready-to-print photos from the shoot to serve as an item for their modelling portfolio. Additional photos from the shoot are available at additional cost ordered online via www.ShotsbyRick.com. The competition will be judged by Venus Says editor-in-chief Coke Viente, Rick Tolhurst, Greg Cleaver, and models Claudia Romani and Dimitar Bozinovski.

Tolhurst says: “This is a great opportunity for girls to take part in a unique and creative way to show their skills and abilities.  When a girl is interested in modelling, quite often they figure that they should try to find trades with photographers in order to acquire images of themselves to put in their portfolios.  However, this is fine in a lot of ways, but can be exploitive in many ways also.  This is their chance to invest in themselves to get some unique photographs, on some unique props by a couple of talented photographers.  They can be sure that they will receive great quality images and those images will also represent a true nature of what a model may be required to do on the job.  Win or lose, they will walk away from this event with some experience, some great photographs of themselves and an idea of what to look forward to if they decide to pursue modelling in the future.”

Romani advices participants for the shoot to “Enjoy the process, work hard and be patient,” while Bozinovski advices to relax as “Thinking too much and having a cloudy mind can be the difference between a fantastic shot and an average shot.”

Okay, we seem to remember the two women having similar roles in the Transformers franchise, Fox being in the first two and Huntington being on the third. Shia LaBeouf is one lucky man! Of course, we can’t gauge their individual hotness meter through that alone so less talk on computer animated robots and more on actual humans, with great curves.

Of Irish, French and Native American blood, Fox was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Fox mentioned that she considered herself as one of the boys while growing up thus often shunned by her peers and considering herself as an outcast. Fox and Huntington-Whiteley practically have their career in opposites, each excelling in different fields though both have done modelling and acting. In the end, the answer to the age old question is according to individual taste. If you want something more free and cool, Fox is the vivacious girl that surely takes the ball. If you want something editorial society woman straight from the modelling world, then definitely it’s Huntington-Whiteley. You have a very captivating beauty. If you were to choose one favorite part of your physical features, what would it be?
My lips. I have very full natural lips that add to my exotic look.
Tell us about your favorite modeling projects.
My favorite types of modeling jobs are editorial shoots and runway. I love the fast paced nature behind the scenes at fashion week and the adrenaline rush I get every time I hit the runway.
I love editorial shoots because there is much more creative freedom in terms of movement and expression. In the future, I am looking to do more film and television work.
What do you enjoy doing aside from modeling?
Karate is one of my passions. I am a third degree black belt with over 17 years of training and love staying active and working out. Combining my love for living a healthy and active lifestyle and my love of teaching children, I teach children’s classes that combine aerobics, dance and karate in one exciting class.
I am also pretty wild and love to do things like skydiving, dirt bike riding, riding on the back of motorcycles (soon I will be riding people on the back of mine!).
I also love to dance especially salsa, merengue and bachata. How can you not want to move your hips when you hear Latin music!
What type of guy catches your attention?
An adventurous, fun-loving guy with a wild side who can keep up with me. I love a bad boy with a motorcycle and good tattoos.
What are you like, behind the lense?
I am full of energy, passionate, free-spirited and love to enjoy life.

Can you name a few of your favorite modeling projects so far?
I took a long break from modeling and just stepped back into it a few months ago. I’ve been lucky enough to have joined two agencies and had interviews in Manhattan within the first 2 months. I am looking forward to the projects that lie ahead of me.
Your look is very suited for high fashion modeling. Do you have a dream project in mind?
I would love to do runway work for Fashion Week, and am interested in boutique & catalog modeling. I would love to work for brands like Guess and Ralph Lauren.
What’s your typical day like?
I love hanging out with my family. Spending time with my husband and kids is what I always look forward to. I’m actually in school right now for hospitality and tourism and am specializing in event and wedding planning. Other than that, I love reading about and studying fashion, music, movies, and shopping.
What type of guy catches your attention?
Men with motivation and dedication. My husband owns and operates a web design and marketing business and puts so much effort into his work that you can truly see his dedication in the end result.
What are you like, behind the lense?
I am extremely fun and outgoing. I’m very easy to get along with, and I love to laugh. I am also extremely professional when the time comes.
How does it feel to be in the Top 8?
It’s a great feeling. It’s a really great feeling of accomplishment for the work I’ve been doing, and only motivates me to work harder.
I am so thankful for all of the support my friends and family have given me. I have to thank them, because they motivate me even on bad days!

It is an amazing opportunity and i feel grateful to be part of this. Even though I am a very confident person, this has given me more confidence to just go for what i want.
What are your physical assets?
I think my best physical asset would be my eyes and legs.
Tell us more about Melanie Masse.
I am a very down to earth person, I have a great sense of humor. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I’m a very positive person. I always have fun in everything I do. I am a hyper person –always on the go. Some people would say I’m hippie and I am very spiritual.
What types of shoots do you plan to do next?
I have mostly done glamour nudes and I enjoy those. I will, soon enough, be doing gothic style shoots with another model friend. I’m a very open person. Some projects I am interested in are : Artistic, body painting, parts modeling, promotional, sports, and editorial. I would one day love to work for Parasuco, L’oreal, etc…
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not in front of the camera?
I enjoy playing sports as well as watching them. I was born in a family of sports. I used to play soccer and basketball in elementary and high school. Another favorite pastime is chilling with friends, reading, and singing. I also love traveling. I have been to Louisianna, Kansas and Florida and planning on many more once I get my Passport.

You have surely captivated them with your charm and beauty. What do you think is your best physical asset?
It’s a toss up between my eyes and my bum. I tend to receive compliments for one or the other.
What type of projects are you interested in doing in the future? Any dream modeling jobs?
I’d like to do more alternative fashion shoots with latex and PVC. I’d also like to dabble into the more artsy side of modeling.
What do you enjoy doing aside from modeling? Tell us about it.
I’m a rugby fan. I haven’t quite learned all of the rules yet, but I’m getting there. I’m a proud supporter of the New Zealand All Blacks, so I check them out when I can.
Your ideal man?
I hate this question! I never really have a proper answer for this. I can’t say I have a particular “type” of guy. When it comes down to it, it’s all about personality and how well we mesh together. If we can talk for hours and not tire of each other’s company, then you’re definitely in my good books.
What are you like, behind the camera?
I like finding new ideas for shoots and outfits. I know it sounds really lame, but my mind never fully gets out of work mode. I’m still thinking about work even when I’m supposed to be chilling out.
I’m a social butterfly. I like meeting new people and love it even more if I’ve made their day. I like to keep busy. It makes me cherish my downtime even more.
Where can you usually be spotted? Any gigs or favorite places to hang out?
I like going to gigs. I just don’t always have the time to. I do love my coffee, so Starbucks is always a place to go to. Venti Cafe Vanilla Frappuccinos rule (even during the winter months).

How does it feel to be part of Trend Spike Headline Girls’ Top 10 this month?
It is such an honour and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity. I dont generally enter competitions like this because I never win or do well enough but I came 4th! I could not be anymore happier!
Tell us about your modeling career.
I started modeling four years ago and its something I am very passionate about. Within my modeling career, I have been a runway model for various fashion shows including Wimbledon Fashion Week (two consecutive years), Style-Me-Up Fashion Show, the Celebration of Young Designers Fashion Show (YDFS) and most recently, the Black Afro Hair and Beauty Show.
I’ve also been featured on the homepage of www.BookMeDirect.com and Black Hair Magazine for internationally renowed hair stylist, Angela Plummber. I am currently featured on Black Naps website: www.blacknaps.org.
What do you enjoy doing aside from modeling?
I love ice skating and fashion. I am a Fashion Business graduate with a creative flair so I occasionally make my own garments. When I am involved in TF shoots with no MUA or hair stylist, I make my own wigs.
Being self taught, I have over a dozen so I always take a selection with me so I can make the most out of a shoot and get as much variety as possible.
What’s your current relationship status?
I’m currently in a very long term relationship.
What made him capture your heart?
I can say is what made me catch my other half’s attention was his sensitivy, charm and humour. He also have a very large afro so its very hard for him to go unnoticed!

I can be my true self and I can bring a creative spark with versatillity and poise.

How does it feel to own the second spot?
I feel pretty good about it. It was my first time trying to gather votes so second was cool. I was let down though after i spent a short time in the first place and thought I might win it. Maybe I’ll win it next time =)
What do you think is your best physical asset?
In all honesty I have to say it’s my chest.
Tell us about your most recent modeling projects.
I have worked in multiple conventions, some runway and a lot of promo modeling. Also, I have been doing some fitness jobs such as wrestling. I do some fetish works as well. Recently, my last event was an appearance for the 9th annual rally in the valley for the 2011 Ferrari calendar.
How do you maintain your curves?
I ran track and cross country in high school and have stayed in shape by running my whole life.
What do you enjoy doing aside from modeling? Tell us about it.
Snowboarding is my absolute favorite thing to do. I love extreme sports like, wakeboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and so much more.
You seem like a tough hot chick. What can possibly soften a Sarah Marshall?
When I’m out doing the things i like to do, I’m a different person. I grew up in the country living on a farm and everything that goes with it. I’m accustomed to bonfires, 4-wheeling, mud wrestling, and working on our trucks. It’s when I’m doing my normal hobbies that I’m a different, perhaps, softer person.

There is no “perfect” I must say. If I enjoy being with you, can see you as a friend just as much as a partner and most importantly if I can trust you and you are loyal to me, that is enough for me.

How long have you been in LV?

I have been living in Las Vegas for the past ten years now. It’s been an amazing place to live. I love living in a place that is constantly on the go 24/7. There is never a dull moment living here, there is always something to do. I’ve also been very fortunate to meet some wonderful people here in Las Vegas, both in my professional and personal life.

Fashion photography is one of the most critically acclaimed forms of photography today. With magazines, billboards, catalogues, and other print ads spreading around like fire, you can imagine how in demand this field is. But Fashion photography comes with challenges non-stop. Finding models, selecting and using equipment skilfully, scouting locations for shoots, handling clients, building portfolios, and marketing the business are just about the handful of difficulties that fashion photographers handle everyday. For Mick Gleissner it’s more than just art and business, it’s taking fashion photography to a whole other level. He puts more passion and begs for even more challenges through what we call: Underwater Fashion Photography.

Mick’s revolutionary idea has already attracted the international market and media, landing his work on Elle, Maxim, Duiken’s Magazine, Photo, Photographie, and Seaster. Mick’s surrealism is a result of combining his passion for diving, photography, and fascination for beautiful women. Instead of taking photos of marine life that made Mick feel bored and not so outstanding, he now takes artistic photographs of what he refers to as “mermaids.” Photo China refers to the models as angels underwater. And it’s indeed amazing how photographers and models are able to do what they’re meant to in an environment where the human lungs have not much capability for.

Mick’s underwater photos look very natural and vibrant. How he lets the models pose with marine life is just breath taking. Some of his more interesting pieces are those of women doing sports underwater; boxing, Taekwondo, and physical fitness. There are also music-inspired pictures of models carrying instruments such as guitar and the piano. What makes the photos look so alive is how all the elements are retained underwater. The models’ clothes, make up, and poses are still very much visible and amiable even when they’re submerged in water. The photography team also takes photos under pool water and by the beach. And these photos are just as good as well. If there’s one thing that sets the Mick Gleissner Fashion Photography apart from the rest, it’s how human life and aqua life have been artistically made to commune and create unforgettable and scenic images together.

Global Fashion TV Network Fashion One is casting for a reality show on Mick Gleissner‘s unique underwater fashion photography. Obviously, models who are good swimmers are preferred.  They are seeking for contestants who can travel and appear at the Bigfoot Studios in Cebu City, Philippines.  Models should be able to spend approx. 2-6 weeks in Asia (dependent on how long you will be in the show). Shooting is between September and November.

Lee Mill, Devon – Bedford Blues flanker Sacha Harding has been named Britain’s manliest man after narrowly beating rival Chris Brain in the public vote.

The rugby star polled more than 140,000 votes to win the nationwide competition and a one-year modelling contract to become the new face of The Bluebeards Revenge.

In August, the shaving brand carried out a survey to find what famous people’s features were judged most manly before launching an appeal with the Daily Express to find men who matched the criteria.

Harding’s looks is a combination of George Clooney’s hair, Scottish actor Gerard Butler’s eyes, Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s nose, British actor Jason Statham’s mouth and James Bond-actor Daniel Craig’s body. We dubbed this man ‘Bradiel Buthney’.

Hundreds applied but, after much deliberation, eight ruggedly handsome suitors were shortlisted in Britain’s biggest masculinity manhunt. And it was Sacha who came out on top of this masculine pile.  Paul Hunter, Elliot Stevens, Ken Townsend, Oliver Gwyn-Jones, Simon Thorne and Craig Stevenson were the other six finalists. The eight rugged men were all worthy winners, but it was Sacha who secured the most public votes.

Sacha took his campaign to become Britain’s manliest man to BBC TV, BBC Radio, the Rugby Times and the Bedfordshire on Sunday newspaper as he looked to secure those all important votes.

The 27-year-old will now take part in photoshoots and TV ads; he will also shave in a host of extreme masculine locations, including a lion’s den and while skydiving.
